CARE: Mi Agua Solar - Nanotechnology-based SolarBag

CARE Peru uses a nanotechnology device and solar radiation, through a household-level innovation known as SolarBag, to improve the quality of drinking water in lower Amazonian rural populations affected by recurrent flooding that lack conventional water supply systems. With $150,00 in DIV funding, CARE is investigating the social acceptance of the SolarBags, further developing the bag model, and determining the benefits and limitations of the technology.
