Plan International: Pregnant Women's Peer Support Groups

Plan will evaluate and scale up its Pregnant Women's Group (PWG) approach to 15 districts over the next 3 years. A PWG is a socially cohesive peer-support group of pregnant women in a community that meets monthly, facilitated by Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs). The approach empowers women to demand the health services they need for healthy birth outcomes and to self-monitor their use of these services.
